Beginnings

I’ve been making images for a long time. It has been what I do to stay sane through the many trials of the last few decades. It has been my personal policy for most of that time to not make the things I do just for myself into things I do for money. I’ve been down that path before where I take something I love and before I realize it, I’ve turned it into a job. I have done work as a photographer before but now I am making this a proper business so I need to take steps to make sure it remains a source of joy. In order to avoid that problem I’ve decided to stay away from the things I struggled with the most in the past, weddings and events. I will be sticking to portraits (Family, Maternity, Boudoir, Models & Headshots) and selling my fine art prints. I expect that most of the portrait work will probably be digital and the fine art images will continue to be mixed depending on the situation. I’m not sure how often I’ll add blog posts, so I suppose we’ll have to find out together.
